With the recent Circuit Breaker measures, everyone have been feeling relatively trapped at home. More so if you have young kids and yet need to juggle work at the same time. Keeping the young ones entertained while whipping up dinner for the family on top of accomplishing work duties.. Modern day mothers are truly superwomen.
With the support of &H, I have been conducting online cooking lessons with recipes that include 'Kids Activities'! It is held every Saturday late morning, ending just in time for lunch!
It is truly a rewarding experience to not just introduce ingredients to the children and making them feel welcomed in the kitchen. Most commonly, children are told to stay out of the kitchen because it is unsafe and they are not able to help or will make more mess just being around. Growing up with that kind of mindset hinders their ability to perform in the kitchen, out of fear, out of lack of experience, out of common knowledge. Of course there are many things that we need to take into consideration. Sharp knives, hot pans, putting raw meat into their mouths. However with guidance and assistance from the parents or helpers, the children are able to take part in the making of delicious food too! These lessons are conducted over ZOOM and just over 1.5 hours to create simple, tasty and visually appealing meals to keep the children's appetite healthy.
